Planet X: My Childhood Creative Book

Here is a school assignment from ~1999? I think around third or fourth grade? Anyway, I just found Planet X, published by the fictional "Out of This World, Inc." and lovingly dedicated to my sister Hannah, "a space cadet."

Here's the complete book, preserved for over two decades.

John woke up and found himself on Planet X.

Page 2

"Who are you?" John asked. "An alien! Follow me," said the alien.

Page 3

"O.K." said John. He followed the alien into a big hole.

Page 4

"Finally, a human to talk to," the alien said as he pulled off his mask. He was human! John was about to start yelling out questions but there was a siren. "We must go," the alien yelled.

They got into a spaceship and took off. "There's something following us," John said. "It's almost going to hit us!"

BOOM!

Page 7

"Wake up, time for breakfast," said John's mom. "What about Planet X?" John said.

Page 8

"You just had a wild dream," John's mother said.

Page 9

John looked out the window. "What's that in the sky?"

The twist ending was, I'm sure, very original at the time. Was it all a dream? Or was there really a spaceship outside John's window? I'll leave that to the reader to decide.
